My name is Jason, I am the Drop Dude.

This photo was taken in Brazil at the foot of "Christ the Redeemer" in Rio de Janeiro. We attended Carnival this year and had a blast. The 14 hour flights back and forth were totally worth it.

Who is the Drop Dude?

My name is Jason and I have been messing around with domain names since 1999. I use to flip 3 character .com domain's back then and boy do I wish I still had them now. I took a few years off between 2003 and 2007 due to burn out and life issues. I started back again late last year and after knocking off the rust I am having a little bit of success.

I currently live in San Diego, California and have been living here since the summer of 2006. Before moving here I spent the last 7 years in Tampa and the 4 before that I was stationed in multiple places as a Unites States Marine. I am happily married to my wife Anne, have 2 Scottish Terriers Samantha and Carter and looking to start a family soon.

I love domains and the business of wheeling and dealing but family always comes first so if there are days my blog is blank then it is probably because I am hanging out with them.

What can I expect to find on this web site?

Most days I will post what I catch if I catch. I figure what good is a web site about expired domain names if you don't actually show off your treasures, right? I will show you the tools that I am currently using to catch the expired domain names. My 2 favorite tools are already listed on my site, Domain Research Tool and Expron's Dynadot API drop script. I am always on the lookout for new tools, if you think something is valuable I will be glad to test it out and link to it from here.

The art of the drop catch is the part I find the most exciting. Sure it's great to land a big sale but my heart beats fast and my mind goes crazy everytime I land something I know someone else wanted.

I am still working on the site daily so there are other things coming like fresh expired domain drop lists provided by Taste Drop that will come in via an RSS feed. He has direct access to the zone files so they will be as pure as any list out there. Oh yeah and they will be free. I will also start posting a few of my domains for sale once I get around to it.

Time is limited and I really have more fun catching the domains then anything else. Stay tuned though, there is more to come.

I just created a new page for listing my domains for sale. This will not be my entire inventory and they will be removed or prices increased once I get around to developing them.
